Could You Be Mine

The day I saw you,
You were standing in an assembly line,
And I just wanted to ask you,
Could you be mine.

Believe me,
I still can’t forget your smile,
And everyday went to see you,
by walking a mile.

I remember the moments,
when we used to laugh,
But you didn’t know,
I didn’t even express my feelings half.

I used to come to school,
Just to see your face,
And just because of you,
participated in the annual day race.

I still can’t forget your beautiful hands,
and for a moment when I used to think,
of losing you,
It shattered my feelings into sands.

The days you didn’t come school,
it felt like a place of fools,
and just wanted to stab the teacher,
by the geometry tools.

Back then,
Some rascals made some rumours,
But our bonding continued in letters,
with our funny humours.

I remember those sleepless nights,
When I didn’t get your reply,
and waited for your letter,
by thinking about our previous fights.

I saw you today in the reunion party,
eating on the dine,
and again just wanted to ask you,
Could you be mine………..
