The Goodbye

Me alone in the golden hour without my own gold

With a sense of regret and my emotions uncontrolled,

Mocking the preconception that men don’t cry

My heart full of sorrow and wail in the sky.

End of the hour and start of the painful night

Convincing my restless mind that she was right,

Desires of mind for her return with tears in my eye

Even after the world turns grey, I recall your last Goodbye.
