When Our City Sleeps

The Sound of Belt and cries in eyes,
Can be heard clearly when she weeps.
All this happens,
When our city sleeps.

Waiting for her son,
The mother has not slept,
But she doesn’t know,
Someone’s lust has made him kept.

The darkness arises,
there’s a pin drop silence.
But, brother look behind,
there’s a sign of violence.

Someone is studying,
Their future is being shaped.
But, behind the window,
Our mothers are being raped.

Some are climbing the walls,
Some are cutting necks.
But, he has stood on the chair,
Because someone has made him ex.

Father making calls to his son,
looking at the miniature duck,
But, he’s unaware that,
His son has been hit by a truck.

People have already slept,
thinking about their goal,
but through their open windows,
someone has entered called a soul.

In an encounter,
child’s father have been shot on hips.
All this happens,
When our city sleeps.

You have written on a topic which is generally ignored and unattended by people. This poetry will always spread a sense of awareness to people as many crimes had been convered in this one poetry. Good job boy
